Steak with olive dressing

Take your steak to the next level with this flavoursome olive dressing and a little help from the Ninja Air Fryer AF160UK

Ingredients

  • 2 sirloin steaks
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • flaked sea salt, to taste
  • fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • For the dressing

  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme leaves, picked and roughly chopped
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary, leaves picked and finely chopped
  • 40g novellera olives, pitted and roughly chopped
  • 90g rocket, to serve

Method

1.  Insert the Ninja Air Fryer’s crisper plate into the pan, then place in the air fryer. Preheat the air fryer by selecting MAX CRISP and set the time to 3 mins. Select START/STOP to begin.

2.  Brush the steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper. Once the air fryer has preheated, remove the pan and place the steaks onto the crisping plate. Return the pan to the unit, select MAX CRISP and set the time to 6 mins. Select START/STOP to start cooking.

3.  After 3 mins, remove the pan from the air fryer and flip the steaks using rubber-tipped tongs, then return to the unit to resume cooking. Once complete, remove the steak from the pan and allow to rest for 5 mins.

4.  Combine the dressing ingredients, then pour half over the rested steak. When ready to serve, slice the steak and finish with the remaining dressing and rocket.
